A tattoo artist in Carpinteria, over near the Tomol Interpretive Play Area, flagged me down in his shop lot. He had a 2003 Honda S2000 and one question: "Is the key going to be as good as dealer?"

OEM Honda keys come with the logo stamped on the head, the factory housing, and the brand tax. The aftermarket blank I carry, BHD106-PT, uses the same high-security blade profile and the same transponder chip type that Honda's immobilizer expects. In daily use the functional difference is zero.
I cut the blade on my machine right there in his parking lot, matched to the original. Then I cloned the transponder signal from his existing key to the new chip. The whole job took maybe fifteen minutes. He turned the car over on the first try, let it idle, shut it off, tried it again. No hesitation, no security light.
He kept flipping the new key over in his hand, checking the weight. Same snap-together housing, same blade thickness, same feel in the ignition. Just no Honda logo on the back.
