A dental office manager near Libbey Park in Ojai called about her 2006 Liberty. She was down to one key and had been that way for months. Her spare had fallen out of her bag somewhere between the office and the parking lot, and she finally got around to dealing with it.
I confirmed the VIN over the phone. Hers was the 3.7L V6 Sport trim, which runs the Sentry Key system with the M3N5WY72XX remote head key. I grabbed the right blank, a fresh CR2032, and headed out.
When I got there, she asked to watch. I decoded her door lock with my Lishi SIP22, cut the blade on my Condor, then connected the IM608 to her OBD-II port. The SKIS module accepted security access and I wrote the new transponder into the Sentry Key table alongside her existing key. Programmed the RF side to the Wireless Control Module next.
Then the part that matters: testing. Transponder start, three cycles. Lock, unlock, panic, trunk release, all four buttons from across the lot. Range was solid. Blade turned clean in the ignition and the door.
She stood there watching me pack up and said it looked like nothing. That's how it's supposed to look. Thirty-five minutes, start to finish. Her dealer in Thousand Oaks had quoted her a week wait just for parts. She drove back to work with two keys instead of one.
