I used my VVDI2 to read the transponder data from the cracked fob's chip, which was still intact inside the broken housing. That saved time because I could skip a full immobilizer reset. I extracted the blade fragment, decoded the lock, and cut two fresh keys. Her fob, FCC ID HYQ14FLC, was a 4-button smart key rebuilt into a new shell with the salvaged chip and board. I showed her the chip from the cracked key so she could see it was still good.
She went from zero keys to two in about 45 minutes. Total was around 356. A full AKL would cost more, and the dealer wanted 644 either way. If you have the broken fob, bring it.
