Got a call from someone over near Las Posas Plaza in Camarillo. Only key to a 2006 C-Class, and it was gone. Not in the couch, not in the jeans, just gone. All-keys-lost on a W203 means reading the EIS module, which on this year is the NEC-based FBS3 platform. I connected through the OBD port, pulled the EIS data, calculated the key password, and wrote the new transponder. Then I decoded the HU64 lock on the driver door and cut the blade to match. Four-button remote head key, part number 5WK47283, FCC ID IYZ-3312, fresh CR2025 seated in the slide tray.
The whole thing took about 40 minutes. Most of that was the password calculation cycling through, which is just a waiting game on NEC chips.
