A dentist between patients at his office near Santa Paula Creek in Santa Paula called me about a spare key for his 2013 Cayenne. He had already called the Porsche dealer and they walked him through the itemized damage: fob, blade cut, programming, diagnostic fee, and half a day without the car sitting in their service lane.
He asked if I could really do it in his parking lot. I told him I could do it during his lunch break.
I pulled up, plugged my diagnostic tool into the OBD port, and started reading the KESSY module. On these second-gen Cayennes (92A chassis), the system stores immobilizer data in the BCM. The tool calculates the PIN from that data and registers new smart fobs directly. His car needed the 7PP-959-753-BQ, the five-button car-shaped fob with the flip-out emergency blade.
Cut the blade, programmed the transponder, registered the fob to KESSY. Tested lock, unlock, hatch, panic, and push-to-start. Walked both door handles for passive entry. Everything responded clean.
He came out between appointments, clicked the new fob twice in his hand like he was testing a pen, and put it in his desk drawer. Done. One trip, one receipt, a fraction of what the dealer wanted, and he never left his office.
