2014 Ram Promaster
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2014 Ram Promaster Emergency Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

He was parked at a truck stop just outside Ventura, sitting in a dead ProMaster at five in the morning. He runs long-haul for work, and this was his personal van. The key had been giving him trouble for weeks, getting harder to read, occasionally taking two or three tries to fire the engine. That morning it just stopped working entirely.

The Ram dealer opened at eight. Earliest appointment was Thursday. It was Monday.

He found me through a search, called around five-thirty, and I was there by six-thirty. He was standing outside the van with his arms crossed, watching the highway like he could will the sun to move faster.

I got the door open, pulled the vehicle's key data through the diagnostic port, and cut a replacement blade to match the lock. The enrollment process ran clean on the first attempt. No module drama, no locked-state issues, no surprises.

He was back on the road before seven-thirty. The dealer would have had him waiting until Thursday just to get started, and that's before parts availability even enters the picture.

He shook my hand twice. The second time felt like the real one.
