Windsor North neighborhood, Oxnard. A plumber's ProMaster wouldn't recognize any of his keys after sitting for a weekend. All three fobs dead at once seemed impossible.
He'd already tried fresh CR2032s in every fob. Still got "Key Fob Not Detected" on the dash. The truck just sat there, loaded with Monday's jobs, while he held each fob against the start button like that would change something.
I pulled codes first. U11E9-00 stored in the RF Hub, which meant it lost sync with the BCM. Common on these when the battery drops below 11.8V for extended periods. The RF Hub just gives up and needs a full reset through the secure gateway.
Connected my IM608 with the SGW bypass cable, cleared the U11E9, then ran the RF Hub initialization. Ten minutes of watching progress bars. Then each M3N-40821302 fob had to relearn one by one. Press and hold lock+unlock until the horn chirps, wait for the dash confirmation.
All three fobs came back to life. The plumber asked what the dealer would have charged. I just said he saved a good chunk and got back to work same day instead of waiting for a tow.
