2005 Volkswagen Beetle Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Got a call from a grad student in the La Colonia neighborhood in Oxnard one morning. He had a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle, one flip key to his name, and the plastic on the handle was already cracked and flexing every time he opened it. The Immo3 handshake with the new ID48 chip took and the immobilizer light on the cluster dropped out clean.

I walked him through both keys, tested lock, unlock, trunk, and panic on the remote side, and started the car with each one. He watched the decode, asked a couple of questions about the wafer readings, and made it to his first lecture on time.

He kept his whole day and spent a fraction of what the dealer wanted.
