2005 Honda CR-V Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A college senior near Encanto Border called me after dropping his only key on concrete in his apartment carport. The housing had cracked and the key was barely holding together. He'd already called the dealer. They quoted him a number that made him sit down and told him he'd need to tow the car in since he couldn't risk driving on a failing key.

I drove out to his carport. He was standing next to the CR-V with the cracked fob in his hand, turning it over like something might shake loose and fix it. I picked the door open using a Lishi tool made for this lock profile, then decoded the cuts directly off the cylinder. That gave me everything I needed to cut the replacement blade without a working key to copy from.
From there it was cut the new key, register the transponder to the immobilizer, program the remote functions through the OBD port, and test every button plus a full start cycle. The whole thing ran about 40 minutes in the carport.
I handed him the cracked housing back so he could see exactly what had failed. He hadn't known the chip pellet was even in there.
He saved a good chunk over the dealer quote and never left his parking spot.
