I got a call from a physical therapist working out of a clinic near North Park.
She had back-to-back patients booked all day, her 2019 Honda CR-V was sitting in the lot not going anywhere, and there was no realistic window to deal with a dealer. She had swapped the fob battery herself that morning and something had gone sideways after that. Everything came back clean. Since she mentioned she only had the one key, I cut and programmed a second fob while I was already there so she would have a backup. Walked it all through the OBD port on site.
She came out between patients, picked up both keys, and went straight back inside. Her car had not moved from the spot. The dealer route would have meant a tow, a wait, probably a day off work, and a bill she described as absurd when she looked it up the night before. None of that happened here.
