I got a call from a muffler shop off Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa. A customer had brought his 2025 CR-V in for exhaust work, and somewhere in the story there was a dead key fob, a previous locksmith, and a car that would not start.

The whole job ran about an hour and a half, longer than a normal smart key replacement, because I was cleaning up someone else's interrupted session before starting my own. But it finished same-day, on-site, for a fraction of what the dealer would have quoted after a flatbed and a multi-day wait.
