2007 Honda CR-V Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A home health aide in Loma Alta called me about a 2007 Honda CR-V with a key shell that had given up. The loop at the top had snapped clean off and the rubber button pad was worn through to bare plastic. She was down to her last key, holding it together with a rubber band around the head so the pieces stayed in contact while she turned the ignition.

She watched me pop the cracked shell open on the hood of my van, transfer the original circuit board and chip into a new replacement housing, seat a fresh CR1616, and close it back up. Then I cut a new blade to match and verified the remote range and all three buttons before I let her walk away with it.
The whole thing took about 35 minutes. She ended up with her original electronics in a solid new shell, a correctly cut blade, and a working spare she had not had before. The dealer quote came up again as she was signing off, and she just shook her head. Hard to argue with the math when you can see the result sitting in your hand.
