Older Toyotas with the TOY43 keyway are some of the fastest key jobs I do. The lock is simple to decode, the blade is a clean cut, and the immobilizer reset on older 4C and 4D chip cars can be done in minutes. A spare key with a working original takes 15 to 20 minutes flat on most pre-2012 Toyotas.

The TOY43AT Lishi fits Toyota's keyway and can work around a stuck blade to slide it out without scratching the wafer surfaces. I decoded the lock, cut a new blade, and programmed the transponder through OBD. His key uses a separate remote, FCC ID HYQ12BBY, which was fine. I just needed to replace the broken metal key and chip.
He was back on I-5 in under an hour from when he called, total bill $185. A dealer would have charged $395 plus a tow and a multi-day wait at a shop he would never visit again. A snapped key at a truck stop feels like the trip is over. For older Toyota trucks with the TOY43 keyway, it is one of the quickest and most routine jobs I run.
