The TOY43AT Lishi fits Toyota's keyway and can work around a stuck blade to slide it out without scratching the wafer surfaces. I decoded the lock, cut a new blade, and programmed the transponder through OBD. His key uses a separate remote, FCC ID HYQ14FLA, which was fine. I just needed to replace the broken metal key and chip.
He was back on I-5 in under an hour from when he called, total bill $266. A dealer would have charged $465 plus a tow and a multi-day wait at a shop he would never visit again. A snapped key at a truck stop feels like the trip is over. For older Toyota trucks with the TOY43 keyway, it is one of the quickest and most routine jobs I run.
