Up in Serra Cross/Grant Park, I got a call from a guy who was convinced his driver's seat had developed a mind of its own.
Every time he got in, the mirrors and seat moved to the wrong position. The dash was showing a driver ID that didn't match his remote. He was the primary driver, had been for years, and the car just kept treating him like a guest.

The moment that stuck with me was when I removed the cover near the steering column and showed him the hidden key cylinder. He genuinely did not know it was there. He'd owned the car for a couple of years and had no idea there was a mechanical fallback built into the whole system. Once he saw it, the car felt a lot less like a black box.
