All-keys-lost on a BMW is the job most locksmiths turn down. I don't blame them. The CAS3+ module stores encrypted key data in its internal EEPROM, and with no working key present, there's no OBD shortcut. You pull data from the module, calculate new keys from it, write back, and sync the ISN with the DME. One power glitch during the write and you're looking at a bricked module.
A guy at the Esplanade Shopping Center in Oxnard called me from the parking lot. His 2011 Z4 sDrive35i, push-to-start, zero keys. He'd been quoted a tow to the nearest BMW dealer plus days of wait time for a VIN-cut key to ship in.
I set up my ACDP on the bench right there in the lot. The ACDP clips onto the CAS3+ board without soldering, which matters when you're working on someone's car outdoors. Full EEPROM and FAFP backup before I touched anything. That's the rule. Then key calculation, new transponder generated with a PCF7945 chip inside an OEM-spec key head, data written back clean.
The ISN sync between CAS3+ and the MSV80 DME completed first attempt. He turned the key, the flat-six fired, and he just sat there for a second listening to it idle.
He didn't say much after that. Just shook my hand. The whole thing took about 90 minutes on site, no tow truck, no waiting on a parts counter three cities away.
