Out in the Alta Mesa area of Santa Barbara, a guy with a 2015 Cadillac ATS had zero keys. Push-to-start, no backup key slot, nothing. His family was waiting and the car was just sitting there like a locked safe.

I connected my ACDP to read the EEPROM as a backup, then ran the AKL procedure through the OBD port. The module accepted the reset, old key data wiped, new HYQ2AB registered clean.
Cut the HU100 emergency blade on site, tested passive entry on all four doors plus the trunk, ran the push-button start twice cold. Everything worked.
He stood there watching the car idle and said, "I thought this was a dealer thing." That is the line I hear most on Cadillac jobs. People assume the luxury badge means dealer-only. It does not. It means the right tool and current software. The car does not care who holds the laptop.
