2019 Cadillac ATS Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A Hope Ranch customer called me on a Tuesday afternoon. She had one working smart key left for her 2019 Cadillac ATS, and she wanted a spare made before that last one gave out. Reasonable thinking.
She had already called the Cadillac dealer and was told to bring the car in, plan on leaving it, and the key would be ready the next day. The quote was enough that she started looking for alternatives. Her son found me.
I pulled up to her place off Robles Drive, set up at the car, and connected through the OBD port. The ATS uses the factory fob with the part number on the housing, five buttons, CR2032 inside. Her original fob read fine. I cut a new key blade to match her vehicle, programmed the new fob through the module, and ran through every button function to confirm the car was responding correctly. Locks, proximity detection at both front doors, and the ignition. All good.
She walked out while I was still testing and asked how it went. I told her it was done. She looked at her watch. It had been about 25 minutes.
She saved a good chunk compared to the dealer, didn't leave her car overnight, and didn't have to drive across Santa Barbara to do it. The spare is in her house now. That was the whole job.
