There's a tailor shop over in the Royal/Kadota area of Simi Valley. A customer there had a 2007 Cadillac STS that had already been through one locksmith before she called me. The first job looked fine on paper. The car started. She drove home. She thought it was handled.

While I had it open I also swapped the CR2032, because the original battery in the replacement fob was already reading low and there was no point leaving that variable in play.

She asked me what the dealer would have wanted for all of this. I told her a lot more than what she paid me, and that the bigger cost was the week of stress from a job that wasn't done right the first time.
