2009 Hyundai Tucson Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I was out in Storke Ranch on a Tuesday afternoon, called in by someone who hadn't been able to lock her car remotely for about two weeks. She'd been walking back to tug the door handle every time she parked, just to double-check it actually latched. The car started fine every day, so she kept putting off the call.

When I looked at the fob, it was a 2009 Tucson remote, the factory unit, three buttons, and the housing had that worn, slightly sticky feel you get when the rubber coating starts breaking down after years of pocket time. She told me she'd already put a new battery in. I asked her which brand. She couldn't remember, grabbed it from a gas station on the way to somewhere else.

Swapped in a fresh CR2032 from my stock. Lock button worked immediately. The old cell she'd bought was reading low on my tester, sold as new, already half drained on the shelf.

Tested all three buttons, checked the range walking back to the sidewalk, confirmed the ignition read the transponder correctly. The whole thing took maybe twelve minutes on her driveway.

She mentioned she'd almost gone to the dealer to have the fob looked at. That would have been a wait for an appointment, probably a full day without her car, and a bill that had nothing to do with the actual problem. A bad gas station battery doesn't need a dealership visit.
