A guy in Grant Park, Ventura, flagged me down at a barbershop parking lot. His 2011 Tucson had a replacement key from another locksmith that was slowly going bad. First couple of days, perfect. His fob was the OSLOKA-850T, three-button remote, part number 95430-2S200. I programmed a fresh key with the correct PCF7936 chip locked to his vehicle's PIN. While I had the fob open I noticed his CR2032 was reading low, which was making the remote detection range flaky on top of everything else. Swapped that too.
Short test drive around the block, three cold restarts, every button checked. He stood by the driver door watching the dash like it might betray him again. It did not.
That key has been solid for months now. The difference between a key that works and one that quietly fails after ten days is the chip generation sitting inside it.
