2017 Infiniti QX50 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A landscape photographer along the Cochran Street corridor in Simi Valley called me after a shoot up near one of the canyon overlooks. His 2017 Infiniti QX50 was sitting in a dirt pullout and the fob was gone. Best guess: it slipped out of his vest pocket somewhere on the trail. No spare at home.
He had already called another locksmith who quoted him for drilling out the driver's door cylinder and replacing it. Then a dealer call, where they told him the car would need a tow and two to three business days to order a fob.
I decoded his door lock with an NI04 Lishi tool. It reads each wafer position inside the NSN14 keyway without removing or damaging the cylinder. Once I had all the cut depths, I cut a fresh emergency insert blade on site. Then I built the KR55WK49622 fob, programmed the PCF7952 transponder, and ran the all-keys-lost registration through OBD on the BCM.
After pairing, I tested every button. Lock, unlock, trunk. Checked passive entry on both front door handles. Started and shut off the engine twice. His original lock cylinder works with the new key exactly the way it always did.
No drill. No tow. No three-day wait. He was back on the road in under an hour, for a fraction of what the other options would have cost.
