I connected my IM608 to the OBD-II port, accessed the BCM, cleared the full key memory, and registered two brand new proximity fobs from scratch. Decoded the door lock, cut the emergency insert blade for both, and tested every button on both fobs. Lock, unlock, trunk, panic.
She was sitting on the curb watching her phone screen, refreshing the police report page, when I walked over and handed her two working keys. She drove home that night. The stolen fob is dead to that car. Whole thing took about 40 minutes and cost a fraction of what the dealer quoted her roommate.
