2014 Toyota Venza Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Got a call from a guy in the Fremont North neighborhood in Oxnard. His 2014 Venza had one working key left, and the buttons on it were getting mushy. Lock still worked sometimes. Unlock was dead. Panic did nothing. He could still start the car because the G-chip transponder side was fine, but the remote was on its way out.

I showed up with an HYQ12BEL shell, a fresh CR2016, and my VVDI Key Tool Plus. Cut the TOY43 blade on the Condor XC-Mini, then used the VVDI to generate the G-chip transponder data and write it to the new key. After that, I paired the remote through the vehicle's onboard procedure: cycle the ignition, use the master key, close and open the driver door in sequence. The whole registration took about two minutes once the key was cut.

Tested all four buttons. Tested start three times cold. Walked the parking area checking remote range from different angles.

He watched the whole thing from his driveway. Took about 25 minutes start to finish, and he kept his original key as a backup. Way less than the dealer route, and zero days waiting.
