Got a call from a guy out at Rincon Beach Park in Carpinteria. His 2004 Volvo S60 was sitting in the lot and his only key was gone. Somewhere between the sand and the car, it just vanished. He retraced everything twice, asked around, nothing.
He had already called the Volvo dealer. They told him the car would need to be towed in, the CEM pulled and sent out or bench-programmed, a new LQNP2T-APU fob ordered, and it would be a few days minimum. He did not love that answer.
I got there that afternoon. Started with my HU56R Lishi to pick the door lock and decode every wafer position for the blade cut. All-keys-lost on P2 Volvos means I need the CEM out of the car. It lives behind the glove box, and on the S60 it comes out with a handful of connectors and two bolts. I bench-read the EEPROM, extracted the encrypted key data, generated new transponder credentials, and wrote them back.
Cut the HU101 blade on my Condor, paired the remote, and dropped it all into the LQNP2T-APU shell with a fresh CR2032. Five buttons, lock, unlock, trunk, panic, and the flip release all working.
He turned the key, the immobilizer light on the dash cycled off, and the engine caught. Same parking lot, same afternoon. No tow truck involved.
