Got a call from a guy in the Blanchard Community area of Santa Paula. His 2020 S60 was sitting inside a gated cul-de-sac and the tow company couldn't get past the HOA gate. Cut the emergency insert blade, assembled the YGOHUF8423 housing with a fresh CR2032, and programmed the new smart key to his car.
Tested all four buttons. Tested passive entry on both front doors and the trunk. Tested push-button start, then killed it and restarted twice more just to be sure the CEM was happy. It was.
He had been going back and forth with the HOA all morning trying to get the tow approved. Whole time, the fix walked right through the pedestrian gate. His car never left the driveway. He just stood there holding the new key like he couldn't believe the problem was already over.
Dealer would have needed the car towed in, plus days of wait time. This was one visit, done on his pavement.
