A marketing consultant working out of a coworking space near the Pleasant Valley area in Oxnard asked me a question I get a lot on Audi jobs: is the aftermarket key actually going to work like the original.

Her fob, the NBG009272T with part number 8P0 837 220 E, is a 4-button remote flip key. The aftermarket housing has the same button layout, same weight, same snap-together fit. The difference is no four-ring logo on the back.
I handed her both keys and told her to try them back to back. She flipped the blade out, locked the door, unlocked it, started the car. Then the same thing with the original. She looked at me like she was waiting for the catch.
There was no catch. Same function, same daily reliability, for a good chunk less than the dealer route. I test every batch of blanks before they go in the van.
