An office manager over in Channel Islands Beach in Oxnard needed a spare for her 2013 A3. She had texted me the VIN before I even finished my last job, which is the move. Cut the HU66 blade on the Condor, programmed the chip, tested start, tested lock, tested unlock. She watched the whole thing standing next to the van, coffee in hand.
Total time from parking to handing her a tested spare was about 18 minutes. She said something like, "I thought this was going to be a whole afternoon." Nope. Not when you show up prepared.
The dealer quoted her over a week wait and a trip to the parts counter first. She was back inside her office before lunch.
