An overnight hospitalist at the hospital near Mandalay Village Marketplace in Oxnard called me late one night about a spare key for her 2020 Audi A3. Before I even got to the parking structure, she told me she had already looked up my BSIS license, LCO 6792, on the state website. She works alone, leaves after midnight, walks a dark garage by herself, and was not about to let someone unverified near her car. Fair enough.

NASTF access matters on Audi specifically. The MQB IMMO5 system uses Megamos AES encryption on the BCM2, and programming a new key the right way means pulling factory security data through authorized channels. Without that, techs end up using workarounds that can leave fault codes stored in the BCM2 or incomplete key registrations that act up later. Her switchblade remote got programmed through the correct factory data path using my Yanhua ACDP module, key cut to code, and tested on every function: flip blade, lock, unlock, trunk release, and a clean engine start.
She checked the key twice before she believed it. Then she asked if I could do one for her husband's Golf. Same platform, same process.
