2020 Audi A3 Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman working overnight shifts at a medical facility near Silver Strand in Oxnard called me close to midnight. She had lost her only key to her 2020 Audi A3 somewhere during her shift and was standing in a dark parking structure with nowhere to go.
Before she even said what she needed, she asked for my license number. Not in an aggressive way. Just quiet and direct, the way someone asks when they have already thought it through. She works alone in that garage late at night and she was not going to let a stranger near her car without knowing exactly who showed up.
I gave her my BSIS number, told her she could pull it on the state website right there on her phone while I was on the line. She did. Then she gave me her location.
When I got there she was waiting near the stairwell, not in the open. Smart.
The job on a mechanical key with no working original is a code cut. I pulled her key code, cut a replacement blade on site, and had her driving home before 1 a.m. No tow, no dealer appointment in three days, no loaner car situation.
She did not say much when it was done. She had another four hours of sleep if she left right then. That was the whole point.
