2005 Audi TT Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
An architect near East Beach in Santa Barbara called me from a parking garage under her building. Her 2005 TT was on P3, and the tow company she called took one look at the low clearance and tight spiral ramps and said no. The dealer told her to get the car to them first. She had no working key, so that was a dead conversation.
I drove the van into the garage and parked on P2. Walked down with my VVDI2, a blank HU66 flip key, and my portable cutter.
The TT uses Audi's Immo3 with a Megamos ID48 chip. I connected through OBD on the diagnostic port under the dash, pulled the immobilizer login using the VVDI2's VAG service mode, and generated a new ID48 value matched to her specific cluster module. Cut the HU66 blade on the van's machine between floors, walked back down, and programmed the transponder into her Immo3 slot.
Then the part that matters: turn, crank, run. Tested all four buttons on the remote. Locks, unlock, trunk, panic. The flip blade went in and out clean.
She stood there watching the dash, waiting for a warning light. Nothing came on. The car just ran.
Her TT never left P3. The dealer would have needed the car on a flatbed first, then a parts order, then a week. I was done in under an hour, for a fraction of what they quoted.
