2015 Audi TT Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
She found me through a search while sitting in the parking lot off Las Positas in Santa Barbara. The dermatology office, midday, and she'd just realized her only key to the 2015 TT was gone. Not lost in a bag somewhere. Gone.
She was calm about it, which helped. She had her registration, her ID, and she'd already written down the VIN from the dash before she called. That kind of prep makes a real difference on a job like this.
When I pulled up, the first thing I did was verify ownership against the VIN and registration -- standard practice, no shortcuts there. Then I pulled the key code from the VIN data and cross-referenced it against the blade profile for this generation TT. The blade has a side-milled cut that I traced and confirmed before touching any metal.
Cut the key on site, tested it in the door lock first, then the ignition. Turned clean both times on the first try.
She mentioned the dealer had told her they'd need to order the key and have her back in a few days. I handed her a working key in under twenty minutes from the time I parked. She didn't say much -- just held it for a second like she was making sure it was real, then put it on her keyring. That's the whole job.
