I charged the battery enough to hold steady voltage, then re-registered her CWTWB1U787 fob through the OBD port. Car started on the first push.
She moved it to a well-lit spot near the building entrance and finished her shift. The problem was never the fob or the NATS module. It was a dying 12-volt battery that made the car forget its own key.
