Straightened the contact, seated a new CR1632 properly, and closed it up. Then I connected my programmer to the OBD port just to verify the fob was still registered to the car's smart key ECU, part number 89990-76030 on these CT 200h models. It was. All four buttons tested clean. Touch unlock on driver and passenger handles, trunk release, start button.
She left for her meeting with time to spare. No new fob needed. No tow. No Friday appointment. Just the right small fix in a parking lot near Grant Park.
