A North Ranch customer called me on a Tuesday morning. Her 2012 Rogue would unlock from the driveway no problem, but the moment she sat down and pressed the start button, the dash threw a key-not-detected warning and nothing happened. She didn't need a new fob. She didn't need a dealer trip. She had already bought and returned two batteries trying to fix this herself, and she was about to call the dealer for a tow. The actual fix was a diagnostic job done at her driveway in about 45 minutes.
The dealer comparison didn't even come up much. She just said she was relieved she didn't have to leave the car.
