Last week in Adolfo Camarillo Ranch, right off Pleasant Valley Road, a horse trainer called about her 2024 Rogue. Smart key worked fine in the morning, dead by afternoon.

Quick solder job on the clip, cleaned the contacts, fresh CR2032 seated properly. Tested all five buttons including the remote start, made sure the passive entry worked on both front doors, verified the push-button start saw the key from inside her tack room.
She asked what the dealer would have done. Same town, same issue, but they'd probably just sell her a new fob at their price instead of fixing the ten-cent problem. Whole thing took maybe twenty minutes in her driveway.
