A guy landed at the airport after a consulting trip, walked out to the lot, and his 2015 Xterra was completely dead to the fob. No chirp, no unlock, nothing. The CR1620 in his CWTWB1U751 had given up somewhere over Nevada.

No faults stored besides a low-battery flag on key slot one. Swapped the CR1620, cleared the fault, tested RF range on all three buttons, then verified engine start. Clean.
I handed him a spare CR1620 for the glovebox. He drove home that morning while the dealer appointment was still two days out. The whole thing cost him a fraction of what the dealer plus tow would have run.
