Three roommates near the Woolworths Building downtown in Oxnard shared one 2008 Jetta between them. Two keys, three drivers. The daily routine was a group text: "who has the key." Someone was always waiting.

VW's third-gen immobilizer can get finicky when you add keys past the original factory count, and if something corrupts mid-write, that backup is the difference between a quick recovery and a bad day.
Read the EEPROM, extracted the existing key data and PIN, wrote the third transponder into the system through OBD. Cut the blade on my Condor machine to match their HU66 profile. Then the real test: all three keys, one after the other, start and stop, remote lock, remote unlock, trunk release, panic. All clean.
