She stood there watching the whole time. Asked what every screen meant. I walked her through the PIN extraction step and the key learning sequence. When the new key fired the engine on the first turn, she just nodded slowly, like she was checking off a mental box.
Tested the key three more times, confirmed the immobilizer light on the dash cycled off clean each start. Thirty-five minutes, start to finish. She mentioned later she had already called the dealer in Thousand Oaks and they quoted her days of wait time. This took one visit.
