A chiropractor near the Santa Barbara Airport in Goleta called about his 2015 Jeep Compass. He wanted a spare remote head key, but he had a whole thing he needed to say first.

NASTF access gave me the factory PIN for his SKIM module, which is the part that decides whether a key's transponder is allowed to start the car. Cut the OHT692427AA blade on site, programmed the Hitag 2 chip through OBD, and tested all four buttons: lock, unlock, panic, remote start.
The whole job took maybe 25 minutes. He watched most of it from the doorway between patients.
When I handed him the receipt, he turned it over and checked for my license number. It was there. He said the difference between me and the last guy was accountability. Real license, real phone number that still works next month, real receipt he could hand to his bookkeeper.
The dealer had quoted him something significantly higher with a two-week wait for the part. He said that was never going to happen.
