Classic RF Hub desync. These modules lose their minds after battery work or jump starts. The dealer wanted to replace the whole RF Hub assembly for way more than made sense. Plus towing.
I pulled up to her spot near the beach. Connected through the OBD port, cleared U1424 from the RF Hub, ran the proximity key relearn sequence through the GPEC3 gateway. The M3N-40821302 needed to relearn its position data with the four door antennas and the center console receiver. Ten minutes of module resets and antenna calibration.
When proximity came back online, she tested it from different angles, different pockets, even handed it to her kid to walk around the Jeep. Everything worked like it should.
No parts needed. Just the right diagnostic sequence for a fraction of what the dealer quoted. These RF Hub desyncs are getting more common on the MP platform.
