I pulled my VVDI2 and Autel IM608 to the driver door, connected through the OBD port, and ran security access on the Stellantis SGW (Secured Gateway Module). The 2018 Compass uses that gateway to block generic scan tools, so you need the right handshake or you're staring at a denied screen. Once through, I wrote the new PCF7953M AES transponder, cut the emergency blade on my Triton, and built the proximity fob with the M3N-40821302 board.
Tested every button. Lock, unlock, remote start, trunk, panic. Walked the lot checking range. Had her start it three times from the driver seat, then once more with the fob sitting on the rear bumper to check boundary. Everything held.
She watched the whole thing from the sidewalk, coffee in hand. Said the dealer told her it would be a week-long wait with a loaner. This took about 40 minutes.
