2001 Porsche Boxster Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Late shift in the Blackstock area of Oxnard. The call came in around 11 p.m. from a physician lot near the hospital.
An anesthesiologist coming off an overnight needed a spare key for her 2001 Boxster. She told me before I pulled up that she had already looked up my BSIS license number on the public registry. She works alone in a dark parking lot at that hour, and she was not handing her car to someone she could not verify. I told her that was exactly the right call.
The job itself was clean. The 2001 Boxster takes a mechanical key. I decoded the existing key she had, confirmed the cut, and produced a working spare on site. No modules, no programming equipment, no waiting on a dealer parts order. She held the finished key under her phone flashlight and turned it over a few times before we tested it in the door and ignition.
She mentioned the dealer had quoted her a number and a wait time that made the whole thing feel like a bigger deal than it was. It is not a bigger deal. It is a key cut to a car, done right, in a parking lot at 11 at night.
