Over near Fremont Square Shopping Center in Oxnard, a guy called me on a Saturday night. He was in town from the East Coast for a company retreat and his 2011 Boxster with Keyless-Go had zero keys. His only proximity fob had vanished somewhere between the spa and the valet lot. The valet told him Porsche smart keys were dealer-only. Dealer was closed until Monday.
I drove out to him. The car sat there looking dead, but it wasn't. Push-to-start Porsches with Keyless-Go have no key slot. The car talks to the KESSY control module and refuses to do anything without a registered fob in range. All-keys-lost means I need to pull security data from the KESSY module itself.
I used my ACDP programmer to read the KESSY unit, extracted the Hitag Pro crypto data, computed the codes, and generated a fresh key file. Wrote it to a new proximity fob and registered it through the OBD port. His fob was the 3-button Porsche-shaped proximity key, same as OEM 997-637-103-15.
His Boxster started in that valet lane on a Saturday night. No tow, no Monday wait, no dealer markup. He stood there watching the dash lights come up like he expected something to go wrong.
It didn't.
