Got a call from a woman down at Fisherman's Wharf at the Harbor in Oxnard. She was sitting on a bench near the boats with her 2019 Golf parked in the lot and one working flip key that had been acting up for weeks. Lock button worked. Unlock did nothing. No contact, no signal. The immobilizer side was fine. The Megamos AES transponder on the 5G0 959 752 BE board was reading clean through my IM608 on the OBD-II port.
I swapped her into a new NBGFS12P01 housing, moved the original board and chip over, cut a fresh HU162T blade to match, and programmed the remote back to her BCM. Tested all four buttons, tested the start, locked it and unlocked it from thirty feet away by the dock.
She said it was the first time the unlock button worked in two months. Whole thing took about 25 minutes, and she paid a fraction of what the dealer wanted.
