His separate remote fob, FCC ID A269ZUA101, paired right back up. I showed him the old wafers so he could see the wear, and he couldn't believe the dealer wanted to replace the whole thing.
His total was $84. The ignition works smooth again, the key turns clean, and he didn't replace a single part that wasn't actually broken.
