A guy called me from the Bay Marina area of National City, standing in a parking lot near the water. He had just come back from a trip, bags in hand, and his 1999 Odyssey was completely ignoring him. After that, every button responded. Locks cycled, the remote worked at a normal distance, everything behaved the way it should on a four-button fob.
He mentioned he'd been quoted a tow plus a dealer visit if he'd gone that route. He skipped all of it and drove out of that lot the same afternoon for a fraction of what they wanted.
