1999 Audi A4 Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman in Blackstock, Oxnard reached me through a neighbor's recommendation. She had a 1999 Audi A4 and a flip key that had been giving her trouble for months.
The blade had a hairline crack at the pivot point and the remote had stopped locking the car reliably. She'd been dealing with it by holding the fob closer to the door, then closer still, until one morning it just stopped responding altogether.
She asked me upfront whether I used genuine parts or "cheap knockoffs." Fair question. I told her I carry aftermarket blanks that I've tested across a lot of Audi and VW jobs, same blade profile, same chip generation the immobilizer expects, same four-button layout. No four rings on the back, but everything that matters under the hood of the fob is there.
I decoded her door lock to get the cut, then ran the blade on my machine. Programming the chip through the OBD port took a few minutes. After that I synced the remote functions. Tested every button, confirmed the lock, unlock, and the other two buttons all responded from across the parking lot.
She asked what the dealer would have charged. I told her a good chunk more. She laughed and said she'd been putting the trip off for that exact reason.
The whole thing was done on her street, no tow, no appointment wait, no leaving the car overnight.
