Her wedding flower delivery was sitting in the back of her 2013 Audi A4 in July heat. Peonies and garden roses, maybe an hour from wilting past the point of no return. The car was locked in a lot near The Collection at RiverPark in Oxnard, AC off, windows up.

First priority was the flowers. I got the door open and the engine running so the AC could pull that cabin temp down. Then I pulled the IYZFBSB802 fob apart on the hood. The CR2032 had leaked inside the housing and corroded one of the internal antenna contacts on the fob board past saving. Green crust, eaten copper. That fob was done.
I grabbed a replacement from my stock, plugged my diagnostic tool into the OBD port under the dash, and connected to the J518 module to register the new key and wipe the old one. Tested passive unlock on all four doors, trunk release, push-start, and the Comfort Access detection range by walking the perimeter. Everything responded clean.
From her phone call to engine running with AC blasting was 43 minutes. The whole job wrapped in under two hours. The flowers made it to the venue alive. A dead battery inside a fob nearly cost her a full floral order on someone's wedding day.
