Saturday morning near Carpinteria Valley Museum, an Enclave owner had that look. The one where they've already tried everything.
His HYQ4EA fob worked fine Thursday. Friday morning, nothing. Remote start, door locks, hatch release, all dead. The car would still start if he held the fob right against the push button, but that's it. He'd already swapped the CR2032 twice.
I popped the fob open on his tailgate. The battery terminals had that telltale green corrosion creeping up the contacts. Fresh battery couldn't fix corroded metal. I cleaned both terminals with contact cleaner, bent them back for proper tension, and seated a new CR2032.
