A guy selling used car parts out of a swap meet parking field near the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall flagged me down on a Saturday evening. His 1999 Chrysler Concorde would not start. Key turned, starter cranked, engine caught for half a second, then died. Classic SKIM rejection. The Sentry Key light on the dash was flashing steady, which told me the immobilizer was killing the injectors after the initial prime pulse.

I pulled the four-digit PIN from his SKIM module through the OBD-II port using my programmer. Cut a new Y160-PT blank on the HPC machine in my van. Wrote the PCF7935 transponder to match his vehicle, registered it to the SKIM, and handed him a working key.
He turned the ignition. The SKIS light came on for the bulb check, went out after two seconds like it should, and the 2.7L fired clean. No flash, no stall. He just sat there for a second with his hand still on the key, like he did not trust it yet.
The whole thing took about 20 minutes. His car did not care that it was programmed in a dirt lot instead of a dealer bay. The security handshake is identical either way.
